PocketMika vs Wispr Flow. On an Android phone.

Both put a bubble on your Android screen that turns talking into clean text. Here is where they’re the same, where they differ, and which one fits you.

Checked October 19, 2026.

The short answer

Choose PocketMika if you mostly text on an Android phone and want to fix a message or answer a chat by voice too: say “change Friday to Saturday” or “reply yes, and ask what to bring” and it’s done, without touching the screen.

Choose Wispr Flow if you also dictate on a Mac, Windows PC or iPhone, need a language other than English, or want a free plan. As of October 2026, Flow’s Android app is for dictation; its voice editing (Command Mode) is documented for Mac and Windows.

Where they’re the same

Both are a floating bubble, not a keyboard, so you keep typing the way you do now and talk when it’s easier. Both send your voice to the cloud to turn it into text, both clean out filler words, and both keep the version you landed on when you change your mind mid-sentence. If all you want is clean dictation into a text box, either one will do it.

Where PocketMika is different

You can talk to what you just wrote

Right after you dictate, say what to change: “change Friday to Saturday”, “make it friendlier”, “cut the last sentence”. PocketMika edits the message in place. Didn’t like it? Say “nope” and it goes back. On a phone this is the part that usually sends you back to your thumbs: a dictated message is almost right, and fixing one word means tapping into it.

It can answer the chat for you

Tap into an empty message box and describe your answer: “tell her I ate and I’ll call tonight”. PocketMika reads the conversation on screen and writes a reply that fits it. It never sends anything; you read it and press Send.

It’s made only for Android, and only in English

That’s a limit as much as a feature. PocketMika has no Mac, Windows or iPhone app and doesn’t understand other languages yet. If you need those, Flow is the better pick.

Questions

Can Wispr Flow edit text by voice on Android?

Flow fixes mid-sentence corrections as you speak (“4 pm, actually 3 pm”). Changing a message after you’ve dictated it, with Command Mode, is documented for Mac and Windows; as of October 2026 we found no way to do it in Flow’s Android app. PocketMika does it on Android: say the change right after you dictate.

Do I have to change keyboards for either app?

No. Both float over the keyboard you already use, so Samsung Keyboard or Gboard stays exactly as it is.

Which is cheaper?

Flow has a free plan with limited weekly use on phones, and Pro is US$15 a month or US$144 a year. PocketMika is CA$14.99 a month, or CA$119.99 a year with 7 days free, and keeps working with a weekly allowance of free words without a plan.

Can I use both?

Yes, but keep one bubble on at a time so they don’t sit on top of each other.

Try PocketMika

A bubble above your keyboard. Hold it, talk, and it types what you meant.
