Edit a text by voice. Without touching it.
Dictating a message is quick. Fixing the one wrong word in it is where most people go back to their thumbs. It doesn’t have to be that way.

The short answer
With PocketMika, right after you dictate, hold the bubble again and say the change in your own words: “change Friday to Saturday”, “make it friendlier”, “cut the last sentence”, “add a fire emoji”. The message is edited in place. Say “nope” to put it back.
Gboard’s voice typing has a few fixed commands instead, like “delete”, “clear” and “undo”, and “fix it” on recent Pixels.
How it works with PocketMika
- Dictate your messageHold the bubble, talk, let go. The text lands in the box.
- Hold the bubble again and say what to changeUse your own words. There’s nothing to learn.
- Read it, and send it yourselfDidn’t like the change? Say “nope”.
Things you can say
| You say | Your message becomes |
|---|---|
| “Change Friday to Saturday” | Can we push the review to Saturday? I’ll bring the numbers |
| “Keep only the first sentence” | Movie at 8. |
| “Mika, make it shorter” | Still on for Saturday? Around 7? |
| “Add a fire emoji” | Tickets are booked 🔥 |
| “Nope” | Back to how it was |
Why this matters on a phone
On a computer, fixing a word is a click and a few keys. On a phone it’s tapping exactly between two letters, dragging a tiny handle, and retyping, which takes longer than saying the whole message did. Editing by voice keeps your hands out of it from the first word to Send.
Questions
What if it types my instruction instead of doing it?
Start with your bubble’s name: “Mika, make it shorter.” The name tells PocketMika an instruction is coming. A plain message that starts with the name is usually still typed.
Can I edit a message I typed with my thumbs?
PocketMika’s voice edits are made for the message you just dictated, so dictate it first and then say the change.
Does editing by voice cost extra?
No. Edits, replies and dictation are all part of PocketMika.
